Welcome to The Makers Mill, a charming art cafe located in the heart of Somerset, Kentucky. Nestled at 402 E Mt Vernon St, this unique venue stands out not just as a place to grab a drink or a bite but as a vibrant community hub that celebrates creativity and local talent.

The Makers Mill offers an eclectic blend of shopping and relaxation. Customers can explore a rich assortment of items, thanks to the space rental opportunities for local artisans and vendors. From quirky clothing and handmade candles to delectable candies, you can spend hours browsing through the treasures that line the walls and tables. Just imagine sipping on a finely crafted coffee or cocktail while discovering an exquisite ostrich feather lamp or unique antique finds that somehow transport you back in time.

The inviting atmosphere of The Makers Mill is enhanced by its bar, pool table, and cozy outdoor patio. As you meander through the spacious layout, you can enjoy live music performances or engaging community events, amplifying the good vibes that this establishment effortlessly cultivates. Customers rave about the energy here—it's a place where creativity flows and connections are made. Nicole Offenheiser noted the wonderful experience of mingling with others at the plant swaps hosted by the Pulaski County Plant Group, praising the expansive setup of the venue.

Although some patrons like Ryan Kuhl mention that some items may feel overpriced or reminiscent of a garage sale, he also enjoyed the fun environment that allows you to sip a beer while browsing. Meanwhile, the cheerful spirit echoed by Heidi Honea emphasizes the fun of browsing antique booths and enjoying cocktails, simply enjoying the moment spent at such a gem of a place. And for those who relish music, Jennifer Kosakowski captures the magic of weekends filled with live performances and DJ sessions, adding a touch of liveliness ideal for unwinding.

While reports like that of Steven Morton indicate that the kitchen wasn’t operational during some visits, the cafe still provides a delightful experience worth returning to. Many find solace in the friendly interaction with the owner, who strives to enhance every visitor's experience. Whether you are looking for a home away from home, as Jeremy Lyons described, or a cozy nook to sip an espresso and listen to local artists perform—as Aurelijus Baltusis eagerly anticipates—The Makers Mill has something for everyone.

If you’re seeking a place that beautifully marries art, community, and vibrant life, The Makers Mill is your destination. So, grab your friends or come solo, and prepare to indulge in a delightful blend of creativity and relaxation.

The Makers Mill allows people to rent space to sell clothes, candles, candy, etc. Because of this they have an assortment of different kinds of items for sale. They also have a bar, pool table and an outdoor patio space. They also have live music and other events. The Pulaski County Plant Group often does plant swaps there and all the large table space makes this a great place to spread out with lots of plants, etc. They've always been friendly when I'm. There and I'm glad to see more places downtown to hangout at.

The Makers Mill can be a fun spot to visit and explore, however, most of the items are way overpriced or look like they came out of a garage sale. I did enjoy the fact that you can play pool or grab a beer and walk around while shopping.

It’s absolutely amazing to see such a incredible store in downtown Somerset. Cool people, cool stuff, cool vibe! I can’t wait to drink coffee and listen local artists perform, at the coolest Makers Mill Coffee Bar

This place is a gem. The energy this place gives is amazing. Browsing the many antique and artist booths while having a cocktail is genius. We did not have food and at the time there was no entertainment. I can't wait to go back.

This place is incredible! We spent hours browsing and enjoying drinks—it was such a fun and relaxing experience. I found the most gorgeous ostrich feather lamp that I just had to take home. The owner was super friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back and discover more treasures!

I love this place! I have found so many unique and antique things here. They have a nice little bar with some original cocktails. They also have a beautiful espresso machine, so they can make you pretty much anything with espresso, alcoholic or not. They have weekly events and quite a bit of music either live or a DJ, which makes it fun to hang out on the weekends. Upstairs is a treasure trove of Midcentury Modern furniture and home accessories. Also, some vintage and vintage inspired clothing and outerwear. Many original pressings of older albums, and most are in top notch shape. When the weather is nice, there is a covered patio up front. I haven't tried the waffles yet, but I for sure need to. Every picture that I see of them looks delicious. Todd Clayton the owner of this business is kind and helpful. I have enjoyed many times sitting at the bar and talking with him. Overall, everyone should go and check out the Makers Mill.
